Evolution is a cross-genre, cross-disciplinary, cross-cultural performance. In this collaborative project, international artists come together to create an evocative and visually stunning experience that embodies the essence of evolution and the transformative power of art.
Programme Notes
I have always been inspired by the machines that keep a city running, from public transportation and electronic payment systems to the lighting networks that brighten our homes. In Escalate, I was particularly drawn to the fast-paced escalators in Hong Kong. To me, these escalators function as the veins of my hometown, making the city move more efficiently and transparently. The constant, unceasing motion of the escalators also inspired me, driving me to create this energetic work.
