我曾經在茶果嶺住了大概20年，深深感受到茶果嶺這個地方的特別之處。小時候從官塘搬過去的時候，明明只隔了一條官塘道，感覺卻像去了另一個世界。其中一個原因是因為茶果嶺非常安靜，除了居民之外其他人根本就不會有興趣走進去。這就造就了茶果嶺這個明明與官塘市區很接近，但又特別寧靜，特別平和的感覺。
小時候晚睡的機會不多，印象中到大概高中時期才比較自由，然後有時因為打遊戲或看球賽的原因，偶爾會看到日出。由於近海的關係，看到的風景會有很多的顏色變化。直至大概幾年前，我也偶爾會看到未曾看過的顏色。
在《我在茶果嶺看過的五種日出》入面，我嘗試描繪五種不同的日出顏色，有些比較陰沉，有些則比較活潑。在最後的樂章，我希望以海水反射閃亮的銀色，去總結我在茶果嶺的日子。
I have lived in Cha Two Ling for about 20 years and deeply experienced the uniqueness of this place. When I moved here from Kwun Tong as a child, although it was just across the Kwun Tong Road, it felt like entering another world. One of the reasons is that Cha Kwo Ling is very quiet, and besides the residents, few people have any interest in going there. This creates a special sense of tranquility and peace in Cha Kwo Ling, even though it is close to the urban area of Kwun Tong.
I didn’t have many opportunities to stay up late as a child, and I remember that it was only in high school that I had more freedom. Sometimes, due to playing computer games or watching football matches, I would occasionally witness the sunrise. Because of the proximity to the sea, the scenery I saw had many colour variations. Even until a few years ago, I would occasionally see colours I had never seen before.
In the work “The Five Types of Sunrise I have Seen in Cha Kwo Ling,” I attempted to depict five different colours of the sunrise, some more gloomy and others more vibrant. In the final movement, I hope to summarise my days in Cha Kwo Ling with the sparkling silver reflected by the seawater.
